Tote-N-Boat folding canoe

Has anyone seen a Tote-N-Boat folding canoe in person? I have been kayaking for many years and this folding canoe looks like it would be good to keep in the car for when I see a pond by the side of the road. I can't afford a $1500 folding kayak and this canoe looks kinda neat.

I'd be very leary.

First, the plastic has to be thin enough to bend repeatedly. What will be the effect of heat in the car over the summer on that plastic? It gets very hot in a car. I don't even like to keep our Perception kayaks in the sun, they are stored down our basement.

I've never heard of this company, but Fol-boat and Klepper have been around a long time for a reason.
