I have a Mineral Mountain large bowie knive that is getting a fairly worn appearance. It lookes parkerized but may be bead blasted I havent't seen enough to know the difference. Is there any way to touch up the blade at home? Maybe something to blend it all back together. I have to admit that it looks rugged the more it's used. Thanks, Loosearrow

There are home parkerizing and phosphating kits. Look at the gun parts sites on the net.

Have you asked Mineral Mountain how much it would cost to refinish?

I have not asked them. That was a very good question. I like to learn as I go. This has been a great forum for me. A wealth of information. Regards, Loosearrow

Sometimes having a maker refinish a blade is a pretty decent deal, price-wise.

I'm suprised no one else has chimed in with an answer or previous experience.
