This is the only 3rd one of these I've seen and I came in 2nd place in the first two auctions. Not tonight!! This one is MIB like the rest and completes the four knives for my Brown Bone 500 series collection. I'll show you guys the four when I get this one.

That's a nice knife Flatlander! I like the zig-zags.

You're up late, too, or should I say early?

About to go to bed. Watching Inglourious Basterds. Violent (Typical Quentin Tarantino there) but a really pretty good movie. Pitt plays a good Southerner.

eBay is a crazy place. The only two of these I've bid on or seen before went for well over $100 and this one tonight I got for $53.80 to my door. I could not be more delighted.

Nice knife, I like this color of bone.
What is the steel of blade?

Touchdown means some scores in American football.

Yes a score in football! I felt like it was a game winning score when I got that knife last night. :D

Igor, around 1989-1991 Buck was producing some knives and knife series patterns in picked bone. Brown and Red were the colors available. The 110 got brown and red and a carbon steel damascus. I've also seen the 110 in red bone satin steel from this period. The 500 series was made in brown bone for just a couple of years. IMO, these bone knives rivel the stag knives from that period in desirability. They are certainly much less common as Buck never produced the quantities of bone knives that they did in Stag especially if considered over time.

The steel in the early 90's was 425M.

Very nice Flatlander.........Congrats!!!! and it sounds
like a Great price too.
Regards Sonny

Flat you surely got a fantastic deal on that knife! It reminds me of one morning in 73 when I was fishing on the Berkley pier.I was alone until this cute black kid rolled up on his bike and just started hanging out with me.We talked awhile then my pole went crazy. It took about 5 minutes to reel it in and I let him have the pole awhile to get in on the fun.We got it up on the pier and he was so excited it was a 3 foot long shark. It was really pissed off and I cut the line and tossed it back. All he could say for the next hour was (you done hooked a shark jack)!!! Well Flat, you done hooked a shark jack!:D:thumbup:

Nice one Flat!! I look forward to the "family" photo!!

The price on this one wasnt reflected because of what time it ended was it? (Late evening?)

Nice snag, Flat . Those are going to make such a nice display . You have a box started to place them in ? DM

Thanks for your explanations.
My congratulations to you with the rare knife.
I know a little about the senses of winning some Buck`s things on auction.

Looking forward to seeing the whole set in one photo. I have always liked the picked brown bone Bucks. But, have yet to pull the trigger on one. Do you have one of the BB DM 110's Gordon?

I've got the Stag DM, Red Bone DM, and Brown Bone DM. I'll pull them out also and shoot a couple of snaps of the three together. I'm not sure I've ever done that.
