I was hoping to win this "46" tonight. I though it would be a nice complement to my "48" otherwise known as The Zephyr.

Evidently, I did not hope nearly hard enough, even though my $26.00 bid registered with 4 seconds left. Serious sniper action on this one.

I bid not much higher and the result was WELL out of my reach also.
No real way to gauge that auction.
Nice example of the oldest Sch/Wal - maybe we'll see it again ....

in looking at the bidding history looks like the winner bid way high to make sure he got the knife. but wow what a nice knife to bid one. a little out of my range as well.
 
I bid on this one too. It sat at sixteen bucks and then BAM: snipers galore, myself included. I went $51.66 and thought that would do it. It didn't. I was hoping someone here grabbed it. Great little knife from 1947. It came with the black "leather purse" too. Heartbreaking...;)
 
Did not bid on this one, although the winners abreviated e-bay name looks familiar some how!! I wonder if he lurks here somewhere?

Sure is a nice looking knife and sorry you did not get it. I didn't see it.
 
Ummm, that was me:o:D:D

Had a $110 top bid in there and of course it nearly matched it. I was in the same boat as you Hal, makes a nice partner for the Zephyr, plus I've always wanted this particular pattern, it's a cool holdover from the Cut.Co. days. Pretty much killed my knife budget for a while but I'm happy. You very rarely see them with these boxes.

Gotta love the Zephyr too! If I had to lose to someone... Enjoy your prize Eric! :thumbup:
