Hi,
I am looking for a new folder. However, lock quality is the selling point.
I had back locks and liner locks failing the spinewhack test.
Please, let's not discuss the spinewhack. I simply want to have a lock as safe as possible.

Currently I carry a CS Recon 1 with a Tri Ad Lock. I am not really a CS fan, but the Tri Ad lock is great.

Could you recommend me any other full size folder with a secure lock? Limit is 300$.

Honestly, any good lock should pass the spine whack test. Knives that don't are defective.

My ZT 0400 has survived spine wacks and it has a linerlock but it's a thick one.

CS Recon 1 Triad is pretty hard to beat!

But you can also look into some ZT's, Emerson CQC 8, Al Mar Sere, and BM 710 or 950

These are all knives that have been out for a long time, have been thoroughly used and abused, and have been universally praised by most people on this forum and others as well.

Some of spyderco's heavier duty offerings like the Manix/manix2, military, superleaf, etc, should hold up well. ZT also offers knives that are built like tanks.

If you want knives that are guaranteed to pass spine whack tests, buy a fixed blade.

Para 2 has a good lock. It does a good job at cutting too. You might be able to get a S90v one for under 300.

ZT 0200. heavy, nice handle, good steel, and very thick liners.
ZT 0300. very heavy, titanium framelock. if you can break that, you are trying too hard.
Anything with an axis lock. just playing with one was enough to convince me. besides, the axis lock flip is pretty cool. benchmade bedlam manual, maybe? that is a full size knife.
used sebenza.....

You already own a TriAd lock, get more!
