This knife (ZT 0560 Elmax) has always had a tough spot to get right in this area since it was new. I can't figure out if it's me or something in the steel. The edge has never been damaged in this area. Thoughts, Solutions? Wish the focus was better but it is difficult to see through the viewfinder.

IME, its from an improper factory grind... where they overground that spot at a higher angle. (I've seen it right where it is on yours).

Pretty much what HH said... you have to grind it out. In the interim, don't raise the angle to sharpen that area, or it'll take longer go away. You can use a minimal way to debur on that side (ceramic rod or strop) to get it decently sharp until you get rid of it.

Looks like it was over sharpened in that spot, causing a flat spot. I wouldnt try to fix it. Leave it and as time goes on with future sharpening it should fade away

As others have mentioned, it looks like it was sharpened at a steeper angle at that spot. Just gotta' work the one spot until you erase it.
