Which is the tougher material between G10 and carbon fiber and what are the differences?
Mike

not even in the same league.
Carbon fiber wears out drill bits in two holes, it not only makes the completely dull, it also reduces their diameter.......NO BS!!

Not to mention what it can do to your lungs :(

If I squeeze a carbon fiber handle too hard, will it turn into a diamond?

IMO, G-10 has a much nicer feel than either carbon fiber or Micarta. I'd be tickled pink if someone started making aftermarket handgun grips out of G-10.

Ive never tried to drill holes in either one, but from carrying both it seems to me like the CF is a helluva lot tougher. Plus it looks better!

Roogalator, ship me an E-mail. Bill Lett Jr. of Lett Manufacturing, Hopkinton, NH makes some of the finest aftermarket grips in the world. Does lots of pre and aftermarket work for Ruger, and DOES make grips out of G-10 and CF!! It would be my pleasure to fix you up with his phone number........wolf
