toughest KERSHAW!!! not a zt knife. it has to say kershaw on the blade. so here i think it is the storm II. it my be the only one i have from kershaw so far, but i have beat the crap out of it adn it keeps askin for more.

I think most of them are pretty tough...it's one of Kershaw's hallmarks.

I've given my Tactical Blur (reverse Tanto blade, black DLC) some pretty hard use on a daily basis over the last year, and it's still as tight and true and unmarred as the day I bought it. Just about as sharp also with very little touch-up (I don't require a shaving edge on my knives), and it's the older 440A. A great knife, and I like combo edges where many don't.

i think my urban-camo E.T. is my toughest kershaw knife. i do have a tyrade here ,but it's not mine.:D

I have an urban-camo E.T. on the way...and, I'm definitely looking forward to it.

My ZTs are really tough, but the OP says they don't count...:(

Non ZT? MY thoughts are the Mini Cyclone in Ti/ZDP or the JYD II in Ti/SG2. I think the Offset and the Spec Bump fall into this category as well. Anytime you can get a titanium frame lock paired with a high end steel, it begs to be used hard!

+1 for the TiZDP Mini-Cyclone. I got this knife for use at my job which requires among other things opening upwards of 10,000 boxes a week. luckily not many have those copper staples, but this thing was abused more than most of my knives and anyone here who has seen some of my threads knows i am hard on all my equipment not just knives.

Thing is, it never ever failed. sure the torsion bar broke, but the materials it is made of are super tough, and a torsion bar was an easy fix (thanks to tim and all those who encouraged me to start opening my knives and put them back together again).

Of the Kershaw folders I have, I'd have to say all of 'em are the toughest...I'm no wimp, and I won't own wimp knives.:D.:D.

I can't imagine Kershaw having a wimpy knife in the line-up, past or present (aside from the Trooper.:D.:D.), so I think I'd be safe to say "I'll take It !!".:D.

Look at the tip on this knife - un-like most of the current K'shaw designs - this one can be used for reasonable prying. Carried and daily used one individual Boa for 4 or 5 years ( around 363 days a year - doesn't go well with suits) - it didn't look so hot at the end of that time - finish was rough - sharpened repeatidly -still cut everything I threw at it - speed-safe went out finally - K'shaw replaced it with a new knife. This is a simply great utility/work knife including tasks beyond just cuttin stuff .
In terms of cutting tools -I've EDU'd 1520,1510,1500 (broke the tip off of that one) blurs, 1636's ,1635's and a Avalanche - they were all superior cutting tools - just in some cases not up to the kind of routine abuse I give my tools.
Kershaw's customer support in my expereience over the last 7 years or so - is simply outstanding.

Well then , look in your mailbox Monday and see what you see !!!

As for a folder, folks seem to forget about the 1050. It's a rugged lockback with a muscular blade. Good looking as well.

Not quite forgotten...I was checking those out online earlier this morning after running across a mention and wanting more info...nice...

Is there a Kershaw I won't like? Please...any knife?

Edit: just a quick explanation...the Please...any knife? plea above was not a request for a knife along the lines of I'll Take It. It was meant as a humorous request to anyone to "Please...show me a Kershaw I won't like and maybe the sickness will go away."

Dang, how could I have forgot about the 1050?.. I have one, and it IS a VERY stout, heavy-duty Kershaw!...

Every Kershaw I own is a tough knife. My JYD with its frame lock is pretty beefy; my Blur is also one solid folder though. Tough choice:D
