I have two silver mounted 20 inch, 2.5 pound, Garud Ang Kholas made by Durba. They are 10/10 efforts with cracked handles. Everything is perfect except for the cracks. The one shown has the worst crack of the two. The other has a crack that goes down to the rivet and then stops. The fix is some wood dust of near the same color and some epoxy. 50 cents and a half hours work will give you a top quality rig and if you're careful there's a good chance you won't be able to tell the crack from a grain line.

All the rest of the rig is standard HI quality -- kardas, chakmas, scabbard (made and tooled by sarki with no name) and HI superfrog.

Can I trade my garud AK for on eof these? I just love the way that Durba does his AKs. I would even pay shipping!
 
Wow! Can I just say yet again how impressed I am with Durba's work? I don't need to buy one, I swear I don't, really. I CAN wait for my current order, I hope.

Congrats to him and Matt; that one in the pic looks more like it was precision milled from a CNC mill than pounded by hand with a sledge hammer. THAT is some AMAZING skill Durba has. Very impressive.

You guys are too funny!!! I think I'll have to hang around here more often!!! Found my way here via SFI (Sword Forum) and they get into little snits over the tamest things. Not here! Keep it coming!!
