I traded into a stripped and used BK2 at Beckerhead West and had a hankering to make a set of scales for it. I used some Toxic Green G10 and stainless steel screws and a little time this afternoon :) Photos aren't that great as I have yet to oil the scales. I am waiting for the LocTite to set on the handle bolts. I actually had to make three scales. I counter bored the screw head clearance with a modified drill and on one scale, it snagged and tore through the pilot hole :( Luckily I had not yet invested that much work in the scale so I started another one. This is a labor of love for me. Not gonna ever go into production but I, like others, love modifying my Beckers :D All those bright custom handles at BHW really motivated me!

Those look great. gotta be committed to the project to make 3 scales for one knife :)

Bright colored handles are starting to grow on me a little. Easy locate in the wild for sure. Any more mods planned for the knife?

Thanks guys! It is fun to work on the BK&T knives :) Just very easy to mod em! Plus who doesn't like to have their own "special" knife? :D Right now the only other mod I am planning on this one is a new Kydex rig as the new scales don't work that great with the factory sheath.

Lookin' good, your 2 really stands out in a crowd now! Nice job on the scales, thanks for sharing!

Nice work Bill!
That looks a lot better since the last time I saw it. Lol:D
You Sir have some crazy talent!

I really dig those scales. I have always been a dark color sort of guy, not wanting to project an ostentatious look to my stuff. However, like you, since seeing some of the really awesome scales popping up here, I have really grown to appreciate and like the brighter colors.

You do some great work Bill. Thanks for this. I think I'd like some scales of color now!!

Those look great! I must say--holding your knives, I have as much appreciation for the care you put into your handles as I do for your blades.

Toxic green and blaze orange scales take a lot of guff in certain circles, but I like 'em.

Some of the best scales I've seen lately... I love the look of earth tone micarta but toxic green and bright orange are sure nice if you drop your blade in a bunch of leaves. Very cool.

Beautiful work, love the green.
The contouring look very comfy!
Will look extra nice with some brown kydex :)
