Someone pointed me to these and I got one; I thought I'd share with my Emerson comrades here. When I placed the order was one of those days I could barely move, so my apologies for not shouting out earlier; it was a short run of 30 and they are gone, of course.
I always wanted a Persian, and I'm very happy to have gotten this one; there is no wave but the gimping is absolute perfection; what surprised me is the size, it is actually bigger than my roadhouse, this one is also dated 2016 so it is a real keeper; the lanyard is kind of funky but it glows in the dark, and was included so I'm not complaining; check it out and tell me what you think:

Man am i jealous. The persian is my personal all time fav emerson. those scales are awesome. Thanks for sharing.

BTW, if one cannot find a Persian, a CRKT Shizuka Noh Ken will hold you over.

Thanks guys, it is a wicked blade indeed!! Yeah it's a shame you can't find just a regular one anywhere, I guess I was lucky.

My '09 Persian is turning in my pocket as I see that pic. Not sure what to think....but congratulations and I hope you find as much appreciation in the MyGodly comfortable, any-position handle as I do. They're pretty amazing. I think as you learn that blade you'll see why they aren't waved.

I'd sure like to have that lanyard....probably custom for your knife though.
 
man, its sold out now. i would have wanted one. anyone know where else we can get persian?

Man what a drag; no I don't know where to get one, but keep an eye on the exchange, they might pop up there; I had no idea of how awesome they are until I got one; another one is the Hattin, similar but even cooler in my opinion.
