Okay, so I ...just...put down the phone from ordering it. But so WHAT? I want my knife!
After all the agonizing over what to buy....and then discovering that the source I was using for my DROOLING did not have an "order" button...(meaning that they didn't HAVE one anyhow) I did an extensive Google and found ONE gun shop in Oregon that had ONE of what I was lookin at.
The BM 910.....CHISEL GRIND.
Now WHERE IS THAT TRUCK?
My God.....tick tick tick tick.....
What if we get hit by a METEOR?

I hear ya on the waiting for UPS bit... I've got a Mini Manix from NGK that's "Out For Delivery" right now.... A little impatient for that one. ;)
 
I've got the BM 910 in M2; one of my favorites. I wish it was an AXIS lock though!

I am wearing my D2 Grip today :cool: but my Stryker is sitting on my nightstand next to my bed. That means I know EXACTLY where it is...jealous? :p ;)
 
Oh Django, Django, Django..... is the chisel grind DIFFERENT?

The CHISEL GRIND will cut you out of an Abrams tank. Will drop an unsuspecting ninja at the mere SIGHT of it. Will turn Uma Thurman into a quivering mass of jelly (NICE jelly) but jelly nevertheless.

And the BENCHMADE....chisel grind....puts the flat side on the CORRECT side. The left side as the edge faces down. Meaning that if you ...DO.. falter and use the knife for something other than mayhem (like cuttin a slice a salami) it will actually CUT the salami instead of FIGHTING the salami by trying to push the wedge into the cut instead of letting the delicious, healthful, salami just peel off to the left. (edited to make that "peel off to the RIGHT") sheesh.

Assuming all this is being done by a right hander.

And it's DISCONTINUED!

The....FOOLS! They must be some NEW knife company or sumpin to let such a practical secret agent knife drop from their line.

So..um..I'm guessing that a chisel grind has an edge on only one side, right? Wouldn't that be harder to slice with, assuming I'm correct?
 
Hey Lavan, when you get it (finally) you MUST test it by cutting some sushi after stabbing your way through a tank. Did you get M2 or 154CM?

mmm... stryer cut sushi with Abrams sauce!

Quit yer belly-achin' already, ya big ol' drama queen! ;)

The wait is one of my most favorite, AND least favorite, parts of the online buying experience.

On the plus side, you get to relive that feeling of indescribable excitement you had when you were a lad on Christmas Eve, only you get to do it every time you buy a new knife! :)

On the minus side... well... ya gotta wait. Instant gratification does have a certain allure... but, then, patience is a virtue, and if you're like me, you could stand a leeeetle more virtue!! :D

We wuz so pore that we hadda wait til Easter an get a EGG that did double duty.

Yes, Django, a chisel edge would make slicing less efficient. But then, I have many many SLICERS. Time to go for the cuttin, stabbin, rippin, wreckin, shreddin, puncturin, whackin, hackin....GUSTO!

But it CAN slice.....if one does it in private where the rest of the "mission team" won't make fun of ya.

Second DAY....still no truck.
At least I have discovered the secret of time manipulation.
Days now have 465 hours.
