Tracker clones on Ebay?

There is that thread about it.

That ebay seller sells copies of about everything:

Cold Steel
CRKT.

But Trentu, what do you want a tracker for? Do you plan to use it for survival? Do you REALLY want your life to depend on a 10$ knife?

If you can't pay a lot for a survival knife, you should get a Kabar or a Cold Steel Bushman.

I collect several styles of knives. Just curious of the quality. I have 2 TOPS Trackers. Kinda wondering how they compare.

I dislike this line of thinking, as you could justify any amount of spending, no matter how ridiculous, once your life is put in $ value.

Furthermore, if you can't figure out how to rely on a $10 knife, you probably can't do it on a $500 knife, either.

That being said, $10 will buy you a perfectly good, reliable knife.

OK, so you can't rely on a $10, but somehow, you would can rely on a $15 one?

I don't own a bushman and don't plan to own one, but I've read of people owning some on the wilderness forum, the difference is that this one was tested and aproved. Look at the bushman, it's one piece, simple sheath, it was made to be simple and cheap.

Yes there are good knives that don't cost a lot, moras and opinels are good examples. I wouldn't pay 500$ for a knife, but I wouldn't pay 10$ for a crappy chinese copy.
