Hi All,

Greetings from Fiji, Merry Christmas to everyone on the Blade Forum.

I was just wandering if anyone could give me some feedback, performance test data etc. and thougths on the TOPS - Tracker Knife used in the movie the Hunted. I have read all the stuff from the manufacturer but just wanted to hear something from perhaps some users of the knife.

I am a part time maker based in Fiji, I usually post with CKD quite a bit.

Thanks in advance.

The tracker is a nice knife. I have it and I love it. There have been many huge threads about the knife and others like it. Try the searching the forums for info about it. My opinion...the knife is a definite go.

I read this earlier and restrained myself but I can't any longer...DON'T DO IT!

They are OK, but there are a lot of other knives out there that are built nicer and better for a lot less money.

Merry Christmas,

The Tracker by TOPS has never been used in any movie, and certainly not in "The Hunted". However Dave Beck's Tracker now called the Wilderness Survival Knife, was used in "The Hunted". I haven't handled a TOPS but I do own one of Dave's WSK's and it is definately top notch! Check him out at www.beckknives.com

well...I got one once...I sold it...the design is interessant but believe me you won't do more things with this knife that any other knife will perform! and for 299$ you can buy a lot of knives that are much better! The TOPS is nice but for 299$ I will expect something better than 1095 steel... Don't misunderstand me, 1095 is a good steel, but I mean for 299$ you can buy way better!
If you're in love with the design then save a bit more and buy the "Beck" version...
Unfortunately Tom Brown "forget" to say that this is not the TOPS used in his movie, beside, he direct lie in the manual of the knife I got with my TOPS by saying TOPS is the only firm that produce the TRACKER!
