Howdy Gang,

I saw that the last time you all had a pick post up about Nessmuks, a couple of you commented on mine...

So, I thought you might like to see one of my latest Nessmuks.

I handled it in Dymondwood, so that it can take some hard use without cracking or checking.

Thanks for looking,
Bob

Hey Bob I really love your work and that Nessie is no exception !

If it weren't for the fact that I have to be really, really selective about my knife buys now ( the wife is really on my case and keeps saying NO MORE KNIVES !) I'd have pushed the button on a number of yours !

Ps. What exactly is Dymond wood ? Is it a kind of laminate ?

i normally dont love wood scales but this knife is amazing!

Thank you.

I usually come from the other side, I love natural materials. But, this is sort of both, and it will take hard use like wood won't.

beautiful sir

Thank you.

Dymondwood is like Pakkawood. It is wood fibers, dyed and mixed with epoxy in layers, to create a tough synthetic material with the appearance of wood.

Thanks buddy, you have me convinced now I just have to work on the wife !!!!;)

I have some kali sticks and practice swords made of Dymondwood and they will tear most hardwood training weapons to splinters. The folks who made mine told me that the epoxy laminating process is done under heat and pressure. Very tough stuff.

that is a great looking knife
any chance to get one from you?

cheers
Arne

Bob, that is an excellent looking knife.

DWK2, not meaning to do a thread hijack, was wondering where you got your kali sticks?

Cheers

Very nice knife. Can we have a spine pic tip to handle, and maybe throw a familiar toy in there with it, like a VIC Farmer??

By the way, I would of never have thought a clip pointed nessie would look good, but that looks great!

I have never been crazy about the Nessie patterns I've seen but that clip point looks really good! I like the idea of that dymond wood too. I love the look of wood but not the characteristics over time.

Very well done sir! I really like the nessmukish lines. Nessmukish... is that a word? I am sure I will be fine on this forum. Nice clean knife.

you could always sell me that Tom Brown tracker to clear room for a new blade..... :D :D :D :D

beautiful Nessmuk!:thumbup::cool:

Very nice piece Bob!

I personally have one of your pieces with that Dyma wood handle and it's tougher than hell. I mean tough.

Also I'd like to put in a plug about your sheaths that can be ordered with your blades. They happen to be the most bombproff leather sheaths I've ever seen or used. Best leather I've seen for real world usage.

Gorgeous looking nessmuk!

Well, don't cause a fight or anything, but I would love to make a knife for you.

That's a great looking knife!

Thank you. Doubly so, as my apprentice Marion has spoke of your work with regard.

You have it. There is a local guy who I sold a bushcrafter to, who has Dymondwood on his, and I swear he has set out to break the thing, and has not.

No luck this time, as this one has already went off to it's new home. But, next time I will try to remember to have Marion take a picture with a familiar knife in the image. I carry an Opinel now and again, would that work?

Thank you. Well, this Dymondwood will wear very well, even under pretty harsh use.

Thank you. Not a common Nessmuk style, but if you look at the original cut, I think you will see that the spine behind the tip is flat, not swedged, but flat.

Bob, where do I pick this one up?

Email sent.

Thank you. You are the one who is trying to destroy my knife. I would say good luck, but I don't know how you would take that...
