Tracking #'s??

Has anyone else had an issue with recieving a shipment from Busse/Kin, but never recieving notification or a tracking #?

My RMD was delivered about 2 hours BEFORE I recieved an e-mail alerting me to the RMD shipping, never got tracking info...

Now my CG SOB is marked as shipped but I have no tracking #.

Hmmm......this is bad for me, I work swing shift so I am asleep when the UPS guy shows up, the tracking allows me to set an alarm so I can be awake the day of delivery...I do not want to have to wake up everyday with 3 hours of sleep just hoping a brown truck pulls up.
 
I've never had that problem with the Swamp; but I've noticed that the time between billing notification/payment and shipping seems to be longer than I've ever experienced from them. If you made payment two days ago, it could be 2-4 weeks before it ships.

I don't mind not getting tracking if I don't have to sign for the package; but, until recently, I've always had to sign for Busse-kin deliveries. My UPS delivery times are so sporadic I would never consider setting an alarm - anywhere from 11am to nearly 7pm.
 
Trying to get this sorted, I have emailed a lady from each of the companies. This is only a concern because of the signature confirmation, if I am not here/awake for the delivery I cannot go pick it up because the UPS place is closed until after I am at work. I have always recieved tracking before...not sure what has changed but this is not a good thing. Got a tracking number by request for my Trash 1, trying to get tracking now for my Rucki and CG SOB.
 
I just got the email for my Battle Saw being shipped, with no tracking number. I'm shooting them an email and I will let you know.
 
Happens to me all the time.....If you live in a secure area you can sign early on the UPS page and have it delivered while you are sleeping...However that does require a tracking number...I would try to reschedule the delivery time once you get a tracking number I think that option is available?! Good Luck
 
Well Renee and Trissy got tracking numbers for me, just hoping Lexi pulls through and gets me the heads up for my CG SOB.

I had my wife wake me up so I could sleep on the couch and wait for Mr.Brown Shorts. Couldn't fall back asleep. Going to pull an 11 1/2 hours shift on 3 hours sleep. Oh and NO delivery makes it even more awesome. The Trash and Rucki mailed after the SOB and they will be here Tuesday, so the SOB will be tomorrow or Monday.
 
Could they possibly use other shipping means in the future? Perhaps you could pick up the package at the local PO at a time more convenient for you?...;-)
 
To clarify my earlier response, my first shipping notification is usually the email from UPS. That has the tracking number. Ship notifications from the Swamp itself rarely arrive before the knives. If you aren't getting UPS emails, check your bulk/spam folder.
 
Also UPS has a program I believe called UPS My choice where you can waive the signature and they will leave the box at your house, no signature required
 
Same thing here. Not the most reliable getting emails and tracking info. Does suck cuz I have to know so I can leave work to catch the mailman. He comes 15 min before I get home.
 
Go to the UPS site and sign up for "My Choice". It is free and allows you to make different decisions as to rescheduling, no signature required, etc. Some things do have an additional fee, but signing up is free and you are able to track your package and see where it is in the shipping process. They also will send you a notice with a window of when they are going to deliver the package and a notice telling you what day it will be delivered, etc. You receive a lot more notices than just "regular" ones from UPS. I haven't used any of the rescheduling or no signature required features yet because I'm retired and being home for a delivery has not been a problem. Check it out, it's worth a few minutes of your time to look into it. I've had it for a couple of years and it has worked for me for other shipments besides Busse knives, such as mail order prescriptions and things ordered from the internet that ship UPS. Also keeps you informed of stuff that is shipped UPS part way and then delivered to your local post office for USPS delivery. Tells you when the post office received the package from UPS. Also, it sends you an email after the package is delivered telling you what time the package was delivered.

I have all of that, but none of it does me any good if I do not have a tracking #....plain and simple someone somewhere needs to get a tracking # in my hands.
