Tracking the elusive Shikari 165!

Great research, Codger. Hey, I just had a thought. We can start a rumor that the shikari was supposed to be a regular line name and then we can produce a certificate of authenticity to that effect until such time as your further research proves differently. It would make a good thing to sell the eBay sellers to supplement their imagined provenance.

I will not use the picture of that girl in this thread.I will not use the picture of that girl in this thread. I will not use.....

Yep. That's the one. The world renowned Stiffy girl...by Shikari, of course.

I wasn't gonna go fishin' through all my stuff to find it, just to sidetrack your thread. So I thought I'd just float the idea out there real subtle like, and see if there were any bites. I believe that might be the limit on first cast.

I'm glad to see your library of reference material is so diverse and complete Michael. Very impressive.

I do know Harrington and Richardson made a single shot rifle that they branded the "Shikari", perhaps a link there? They were manufactured in the '70's, the same time period as the schrade walden tangstamp if i'm not mistaken. A shikari rifle with a matching shikari knife for the great shikari hunt? LOL It's a long shot, but there may be a link there. What was the range of years they used the walden tangstamp? I cannot recall exactly, i'f you can give me the years, i'll check on the production years of the rifle and see if we can match something up.

The butt of a Shikari knife may shake and the butt of a Shikari rifle may kick, but neither moves like Shakira's.

...When she was first introduced to the English business, she was mostly noticed for the way she shook her hips ...

Luis, Luis, Luis.....

That is so...so...well, bottom feeder like.

We love it !!!!!

Looks like a no limit predator to me.....:D

Bill

yep, thats it. The shikari rifle was made between '72-'82, dates don't match up very well, not likely a match for the rifle.

Codger, are these parts any good to you? Rusty but full! Guard missing, they were given to me as is, and I'd like to pass them on to someone who could use them for repair, or scholarly research;) !
