Due to the generosity of the participants and visitors at the Fall TR Hammer-in through the Iron in the Hat and Custom Knife Drawing event's, we were able to make a donation of $600.00 to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Memphis, TN.

Special thanks to those that step up help me organize, instruct, clean-up and keep this event going. You know who you are and you are a blessing.

The tentative date for the Spring 2016 Event is the weekend of March 22nd, pending confirmation from the Campground. Will post exact date when known.

You've done a great thing with your hammerin Carl. I'm always blown away at the effect you have had on the knifemaking community.
 
Is there a way to contribute though I live too far away to attend?

St Jude's has a special place in out hearts and while we could donate directly supporting hammerIn at the same time is a worthy cause too
 
Thanks for the kind offer Shamrock. It'd just add an extra unnecessary step to the process. Giving directly is the best bang for the buck.

Thank you for the kind words Andy. Just seems the right thing to do. Nothing like seeing a little kid get all lit up finding out they can actually do something fun with their hands.......and there's a little kid in all of us!

Trackrock is very much self supporting the way it's set up. We manage to keep the over head very low since everyone brings extra stuff. Mostly just use a small amount of the ITH funds to pay for fuel, materials, and other consumables. The campground generously allows us to hold the event there free of charge. It's symbiotic in nature as we fill the campground and they get free advertising/exposure from the event. Works well all the way around.
 
I love giving to St Judes also. My Aunt is a fund raiser for them and we donate knives for them to raffle off.
