Nice pics Phillip. This was a very good weekend. I'd love for everyone to come to this. Its more fun than you pay for thats for sure.

Very cool. How much for the weekend? Is it just once a year?

Spring and fall. No cost to attend! Just your tent/campground fee if you stay at the campsite, or whatever lodging you choose locally. And you feed yourself except for a donation-for-charity lunch on Saturday.

And...seriously, these guys are remarkably generous with their time, advice, and help. They roped me right into working on a knife...and I had absolutely no clue what I was doing. My son was working on his own a few feet away. It was awesome!

I'm already planning on attending in the fall. I won't miss it!

Nice!!! Thanks for posting Phillip. Would have loved to join had it not involved travelling to a different continent.

It's the bomb-- I drove down from Eastern VA again this year and had a blast. Arrive with a list of questions, bring your stuff, ask for critiques, ask how to make it better. It's a weekend of sharing where every one is willing to share and the learning happens fast. Where else can you see so many ways to attack a problem and have such a collaborative, happy environment. Look at the smiles on folks faces!

I'll post up pictures as they upload:

“Aripima” is my answer to a chopper. Similar handle to the outlander, this thing a beast! Most will be made as 5/32” thick steel and SFT. OAL is 14 ¼” with a 9 ¼” blade. Base price $350

Searching would help if I knew how to spell...thanks :) that one looks bad***

Lots of knowledge at this gathering, I bet it is a blast hammering out your own blank under that guidance/criticism

allen told my how to spell it over the weekend.....
he also just texted me about it and spelled it the same way i did in the OP

Looks like a lot of fun and a great learning experience. Too bad I live 2300 miles away.

Great pics everyone. I'm going to have to make it out for one of these.

Is there a date set for the fall?

So its not just to watch how its done, you can actually build your own blade?

No way my friend. Its a hands dirty, on your feet looking at knives, talking knives, making knives, and partying weekend. Its more fun than I can imagine.

Very cool. How much for the weekend? Is it just once a year?

No, its twice a year. Spring and fall.

Glad to hear you're coming down again. And Blade Show too. It was great meeting you and your son.

That knife of Allens is sweet. I chopped wood with it, cleaned it up and chopped veggies. Really a stunning tool. I want one.

October 28th and 29th 2016 is the next Trackrock. I would love to have you come down bro.
