I just love this knife, before I left the house I tried cutting a post it and the blade dragged slightly tearing at the paper. After about 10 strops on some wet and dry it was once again cutting off little curls and slicing neat strips.....you gotta love these good old fashioned steels eh !!!!

The park wardens here tried telling me that there were no Cougars in the park, I have so far found one lot of scat and come across deer bones such as this nearly every visit !!!!!

There are also Raccoons as this muddy print proves....

If you have never tried Miners Lettuce ( Montia perfoliata ) take the time to find some, as wild edibles go this stuff is pretty good and there was loads of it where I was today !

Maisy kept stopping to drink from the streams.....

Remember that fresh empty nest I posted a while back? Well I gave it a quick check again today.....it was a Canadian Robin, I saw it leave the nest !

The Tiny Terror is getting big! I`ll have to take some new pics of Maggie, she`s grown too.

I'll have to show my wife this pic, Maggie is a real cutie eh !!!

Casey looks a bit scary though John, maybe it's the green demon eyes thing that's goin on !!!!!

Great pics both of you.
I'll bet on Casey if the four of them ever got in a fight though. Doxies are crazy.
Thanks for the update on the nest. Robins egg blue huh.

Speaking of nests. I was checking the lights on a trailer I picked up in Lewisburg TN the other day. Under the trailer on the turn signal light was this.

It is a Bank Swallow nest. I don't know if they will hatch as I have no idea where the nest originated or where the "parents" are. These trailers are rarely in the same place for more than a day or two.
