trade matriarch for?? Emerson? P'kal?

Hi All,
I am a newbie here. I have posted a couple of times on the emerson page.
I picked up a grey matriarch in a trade. it has the ats-55 blade, it's in good shape.

I have been pretty much intending to trade this for an emerson, but the p'kal (specifically) is really interesting to me. Is the P'kal a good choice for edc? Is it "too scary".

I think you have an excellent knife in the Matriarch. If you want to try and get a P'kal, I do not think it would be as eye catching as a Matriarch blade shape.

Very true. But, I think that the matriarch is far too scary for sheeple in my area.
And I'd like something that is more easily rationalized as a tool or has some degree of mutiple use.

IMO, I don't see that p'kal as likely to be sheeple scary. Am I way off here?
 
Personally I feel like the p'kal would be just as sheeple scary if your using the wave feature. The way a knife is opened often has a lot to do with the affect it has on sheeple.

For the most part, I have come to the conclusion that I just have far too much stuff. And stuff that I don't use needs to go. If I can turn this into something I will use, then that is a win for me..

I did already post it on the wtt board btw..
 
The matriarch is quite the collectible knife indeed. I can understand the need to move unused stuff, but something should be kept for posterity. This being one of them. I'd rather sell a kidney than a matriach...maybe....
 
I'd be willing to trade you for your kidney.. I am sure we can work out details..
