As long as I've been collecting OldTimer knives, almost five years now, there are still surprises here and there.
Tonight I received a belated christmas gift, a NIB 18OT, from my brother. It's a mid-date knife, with the two-piece wood grain box, red foam inserts, and the deeper delrin coloring. Inside the box was the typical Schrade brocure, "Use and Care of Your Schrade Knife," and this little gem:
"All requests must be received by March 31, 1990." And the qualifying Schrade knives are the 108OT, 34OT, 89OT, 152OT, LB5, 833UH, 158OT, 3OT, 8OT, 807UH. Reasonable clues to the age of the certificate and this 18OT.
A search of this forum for Certificate and a search for Trade-Up came up with no mention of these. You guys seen them before?
Anyway, I thought it was interesting and wanted to share...
