I traded my old worn Remington for this little Queen today.
1976 date on the tang with great blade and snap. Just like the one my grandfather had when I was a kid except for red scales rather than yellow. I don't know the proper pattern name but I call it an EZ Open Slim Trapper.

Sandmountainslim, the pattern # on your knife is #11 eo. The long name is queen #11 easy open utility. I have the same knife except with winterbottom delrin scales. Queen knives are my favorite brand. Very nice knife you have there.

Really nice knife. Yep it is a queen #11EO. They can be found in a few shades of delrin along with jigged and winterbottom bone.

Enjoy!

Knice EO Trapper, '76 was a great time for Queen, their knives were some of the best in the 70s when some of the other companies were starting to feel the pinch from the changing economy. I'm confident that since the Daniels family took the reins with their new philosophy, "Quality not quantity" they'll keep Queen at the front lines of the cutlery industry.

The Utility is Queen's Slimline Trapper and I like this pattern a lot! Here's the non EZ-Open in White Carved Stag Bone from c.2002 and D2 steel. I also have one in the Amber Carved, fine knives. You can get them in woods such as Bird's Eye Maple and Zebra Wood, the latter can be a real eye-catcher.

Thanks, Will

I know that at one time Ontario Knife (maker of Old Hickory kitchen knives) was also related to Queen - here is a version of the Queen EO Utility with an OK tang stamp and Old Hickory molded in the Delrin handles. I don't know what year these were made. OH
