I may sound like a heritic :eek: -- but thanks to Mulder I got to play with a SHBA for a week and decide it's not the knife for me...

I know the SHBA is an amazing piece of history in the developing Busse line --- but this is another instance where I think the boss man has moved FORWARD in design.

Besides, now you have a SWORD made from INFI ;)
 
I personally think it was a good trade :thumbup: Fair for both parties involved. The SHBA is definately nice but you now have a INFI short sword ;)
 
actually the AK47 in the long run will be worth more. I think SHBA's are at their max right now. Paying 600-700 is just insane for one. The AK will eventually go over 1000 and not that long from now. Heck some sold on ebay not long ago for about 900.
 
Sorry guys but my opinion is different (surprise!!!).

There isn't a price low enough that would cause me to buy an AK other than to flip it the next day. Just not my thing.

Separate story. I love the AK-47. It's totally impractical, insanely long, and just way too out there... in other words, perfect!

comparing the two is like comparing apples and kangaroos.

two totally different blades, nothing but the steel (if the shba is infi) is the same.

not a trade i would make, but if you prefer the ak, then its a good trade.

Yes, definately two different beasts. I have to agree with Cobalt in that the SHBA is pretty much close to maxed out in terms of value. The AK47 will still continue to increase in value.

But there is something intangible about owning a nice vintage piece of INFI history that is well..... Priceless!

I was thinking of listing my AK with Okuden sheath just today.....then I swung it around and split a few veggies from the fridge....now she stays.
 
i'd choose the AK hands down but that is because I have such an affinity for durable swords and the SE has become my favorite Badger. But they are both classic Busse blades. You did good either which way. Now go spank that AK. ;)
