hello all,

Was curious on any tips or advice on trading on the exchange. What's the best way to trade safely. Seems like it would be more difficult that selling PayPal G&S.

Reputation and longevity go a long way for me.
I've traded a few times, and have always been ok.
Of course, the guys I traded with had many good positive reviews and had been here a while too.

Request good pics, ask questions, check feedback, mutually agree that the deal is not final unless both parties are happy.

As far as shipping your knife and expecting a knife to show up at your door, Is this basically an honor system? I know with PayPal your somewhat protected.

In my opinion, if you are new to the forums trading/selling is going to difficult.
I don't trade very often because I prefer value knives, and they are not very common in the Trade Forum.
If I am interested in a trade, I check to see if the person has a good (perfect) history, and has been in the forum for at least 3 years. Most BFers won't risk their rep over one value knife transaction.
Because I have very little history I will typically offer to send mine first, and allow the other party to inspect my knife.
It is a longer process, but it has worked for me so far.
If both parties are not immediately satisfied, than the knives can be immediately returned. No harm, no foul.

I've traded for a lot of knives but only w/people that I've done business w/before or who have the feedback scores to justify the trust involved in the transaction.
