Because I don't want to get any warnings/infractions for misunderstanding or missing parts of the rules, I'm going to ask some questions that I have regarding the trading forum.
I've seen other non-paying members post "+ or - money" in trade threads, is this allowed? I have a knife that I don't want and don't know perceived value of, but I know I want a knife that is worth less. Would it be against the rules to request said knife plus some money to compensate for differences or is this technically "selling" the knife? If this is not allowed how would I best go about the process of trading this knife for one that is roughly half the list price? I can be a giving person, but I'd rather trade on a level field, and not give my knife away. While I don't want it anymore I know it's way better than what I'm looking for, and I would feel like an idiot for trading it at roughly half off. I don't want to have to list it on an auction site and then buy what I'm looking for, because I've made an agreement to myself that my cash is all going towards a new camera (I'm a photographer) and school before anything else. Trading can be a nice little work-around
As I tried to explain to a mod who gave me a warning for the last thread I made - I have no interest in selling the knife, but I want to make sure that my trade is fair for both parties, and that there are no problems on either end. I use "Shawn7656" as my user-name for everything online (At least 10 accounts. Go ahead, Google it) and my reputation will follow me way past this site, so I don't want something to come back and bite me, or for me to make a huge mistake and get the short end of the stick.
Thanks for reading, I look forward to your suggestions.
