Here are the contestants of the box I received ( there's a Can Koozie I left in the box )

I've gotta say, that GEC bullbuster is an extremely nice knife and I was very tempted, but it's just too large of a folder for my liking these days so I'll leave it for somebody who will actually use it.

Here is what I chose to take.

I really went back and forth on the Case because it's a decent sized knife, but it's so nice and I think I can find a use for it I just couldn't bring myself to leave it.

Heres what I chose to include.

I will let this run for a week, then pick a winner.

Anyone who wants in just post you're in, as long as you're a regular member and within the US you're eligible.

Nice selections, David. I hope you take to that Case, it is definitely a good 'un, one I hope they take out of the vault some time in the future,

It would be a popular model , they have a lot of other patterns that are functionally interchangeable with each other but a stout single blade sheeps foot is something missing from their lineup.

I already went to work a bit on this knife, I leveled the edge back out and sharpened it, and I lowered the kick a bit because it was excessively tall.
I just wanted to bring the blade into the frame a bit more so it's not so wide when closed.

It took an excellent edge in short order.

Theres lots of potential in this box, and lots of fodder for anyone looking for a project.
Plenty of good knives that just need a little help.

This Schrade 12OT Pal was in decent condition, but like many swinden key OT's and every 12OT I've had / handled it had some blade play.

I decided to try my hand at a through pin modification, and it didn't come out too bad.
The drill bit slipped a little when drilling out rocker pivot on the mark side, but that's the only real issue.

The 12OT never really seems to be a very snappy little knife in general, but this one isn't terrible and I was able to correct the slight blade droop too.

Like all actual Schrades it really took a razor edge in no time , and should be a great little pocket knife.
Hopefully it settles my urge for a new little knife till the Case 6225-1/2 hits the market.
