"traditional" customs

There are lots of makers producing slipjoints and traditional lockbacks. I don't think the factory knives have much, if any effect on the market for these knives. There are quite a few factory bowies, hunters, tactical folders, etc., and that is not effecting the custom market either. For the most part, companies like Case do not make knives that compete quality wise with customs. Not even their high end models do. Some of the better knives from Schatt & Morgan are very good, but the knives I see from the makers you listed and from many others are head and shoulders better, in my opinion.
