OK I know many countries have a number or a particular traditional Knife shape for example the Kukri, Parang (in various forms), Leuku etc...
I've researched traditional UK/English knives and yes you've lots of influences from the Saxons, Celts, and Vikings and due to the nature of the UK there will be numerous influences but are there any other interesting facts or designs that are perhaps a little more obscure?
I'm looking for a useful historical design that although I don't collect and prefer to use all my knives I could add to my usable "collection"?
