Just bought a Balisong from my instructor Ron Kosakowski. Just wanted to let you guys know its an amazing knife. A real balisong . Extreme craftsmanship and probably the sharpest thing i ever handled brand new.

i have been to Ron's place. specifically to inquire on learning how to use a balisong tactically. unfortunately he didnt really entertain the idea too much. he wanted me to sign up for their basic class.

Ron has an awesome collection of filipino knives on display, i only saw one balisong when i went though. how does the traditional one you got from him flip?

its amazing its a real balisong so its weighted at the end so you can strike with the ends while flipping the blade is long with a blood groove and comes hair splitting sharp. The handle inlays are made of some sort of animal horn don't remember what kind. The flipping is nice and smooth and the lock up is awesome. Yea he doesn't really like to demonstrate the use of his weapons to people he is not familiar with because he doenst want some kid buying one and going out and chopping up some other kid with it which is understandable. But if you were ever take the Kun Tao or Kali class he teaches swords, knives, bali's, staff, pistol, baton and alot more defense and offense with weapons. He just likes to feel you out first so he would know you will use your skills wisely. He swear that his bali puts benchmade and microtech to shame. I believe it
