Traditional folders in Magnacut?

Hey Folks,
I was wondering if anyone knows of any traditional looking folders in Magnacut? Preferably Backlock or Slipjoint. From what I understand CPM Magnacut is still fairly new so I have the suspicion that, if there are any traditional folders (Magnacut) out there, they would be pretty pricey. Either way, one can ask, eh? 😉 I’m new to BF and still a bit of a newbie in the knife world.

Welcome aboard. I suspect it will be a few more years before traditional manufacturers embrace Magnacut. For now, it would be the province of custom makers, if you can find one willing to try it. Be prepared to shell out big bucks, though.

Boker soligen makes a slipjoint in magnacut, it’s called the coffin.
Saweet! I’ll browse around and see if I can get it in Canada. Otherwise, as Chance would have it, I’ll be in Germany in a couple months to visit family anyways. Thanks for the tip!

Yes, I saw that. I did some snooping around online right after I read your post. It seems to be priced even a little lower in Germany than here. Which doesn’t mean much. Canada can be an expensive place to buy knives. Thanks again for the tip!

Here are a couple of Buck 501s in Magnacut, a BCCI 35th elk and the Larrin.

I don't have any of his slipjoints (yet...) but I will say the small fixed blade that Gjcustomknives Gjcustomknives made for me has been an absolute workhorse and his slipjoints look amazing. Can't see how a magnacut slipjoint from him would be anything but amazing.

I've been doing Magnacut since it first came out. I think 10 knives now. It's definitely a love/hate steel for me. It makes a wonderful spring! Last knife of 2023:

I agree. It looks awesome. Like the grind too. I’m already in contact with another knife maker from here. He’ll most likely be making one for me. That’s one sweet knife though.
