Now I won't swear to this, but in my readings of the various and numerous posts in this forum it seems that the term dandy has become a true mainstay in terms of expressing high approval

of a knife or knives exhibited in any given thread.
Main Entry: 1dan·dy
Pronunciation: \ˈdan-dē\
Function: noun
Inflected Form(s): plural dandies
Etymology: probably short for jack-a-dandy, from 1jack + a (of) + dandy (origin unknown)
Date: circa 1780
1 : a man who gives exaggerated attention to personal appearance
2 : something excellent in its class
I'd say that the word/term swedge shows up pretty regularly too but it is more of a technical term rather than folksy per se.
So, what other folksy terms do do you come across on a regular basis in this forum that would be part of the Traditional Forum Folksy Lexicon?
