A delight as always!

Excellent review of a fine work knife -- and I loved the poetry, geography, and wine, as well!

Storing sunshine, poured in a bottle,
waiting to brighten an unhappy day.
Grapes of the hillside, sweet as your smile,
leaving God nothing much more he can say.

I appreciate the international flavor, and the courtesy to broadcast the reviews in english. They are excellent!

Excellent review, thank you! I have never seen that knife before. I have several of the Opinel and now I think I must find one of those.

a tour de force! its nice to remember knife love is an international concept... thank you

Wow... what a wonderful video! The knife looked great, but the video was so well made and entertaining I really enjoyed watching it.

What a far cry from the usual YouTube schlock.

I wonder a bit if it is a true regional traditional knife, like the Alpin, Laguiole, Nontron and Opinel; or is it a "neo-regional" knife, like for example L' Arconsat. These days knifemakers around France often try to create the official knife of their village or region, hence the term neo-regional. That is no criticism, just curious.

Thanks for taking the time to do a really well made video review.
Refreshing and interesting! Might even buy one :)

Fine review. Thanks for sharing all the knife "flavor". I am traveling to France this Summer, and I will be looking for this beautiful pocket knife.

According to this (German) guide to French knives the Garonnais is a traditional regional knife: http://www.carlherlitzius.de/pdf/taschenmesser.pdf

Searching for the "Le Garonnais" I stumbled upon another interesting one from Au Sabot "Lou Cotèch":
