I just get my latest knife last tuesday, and that one might just be my ultimate one ...

... well, just kidding of course, you know how it works

Never mind, here are some pics of - how to say ... approximative quality ;) :

handle in snake wood, blade in hand-forged damas (non-stainless), the earliest one-hand opening system on a folding knife ever known (first archeological evidences in ancient Egypt) and moreover a legal knife in our oversecured european countries :

Not an ugly knife, isn't it ?

I bought it to a young knifesmith/knifemaker (just pick the correct term), Stéphane Venner, who made these other cutting toys :

Traditional sailor's knife, slipjoint :

Traditional european knife "violon", slipjoint :

Folding knife, slip joint :

Push-dagger :

His website (in french, sorry) :S. Venner

I'm off to his website, I can't write French but I can READ it OK thanks for the pics:thumbup:

You might like that one (my previous EDC), a bit more simple : hand-forged carbon steel and palm tree "wood" :

MMmmm, Makers Mark perhaps,, OK, I like Bourbon too occasionally, but good old Scotch, now you are talking.

DagueHaubert,

I love all your friction folders, one and all!. Super collection.

Wow fellas, amazing friction folders here. And extremely enjoyable photos.

Why am I suddenly thirsty??? ;)

Nice friction folders! Sigh. Guess I'll have to add one of those to the wish list. Hard to get more traditional or simple than that.

SunnyD, try some Benchmark sometime. Smooth, lightly sweet, tasty bourbon at the price of Jim Beam. I have to drive to a store on the North side of SA to get it, but worth the trip. I still need to get over there and see if they have any Speyside (that was it, right?). Maybe in a payday or two. Just finished getting a car repaired.

Some nice friction folders-I really like the snakewood DagueHaubert it's a fine looking knife. SunnyD those stag folders are exceptional!!! I remember them coming up for sale, I wanted to pull the trigger on one of those, but, alas-cashflow was an issue. Here is a nice one from H. Ohta:

that is all i have made so far. I'm fixin to start on a few more and also make another like the all steel one but add antler to the outside of the handles.
