Hello!
I just came back from holidays in Hamburg - Germany.
In the famous port you can visit a 3-mast sailor from 1896 with a little museum.
In the museum I found some riggerknives, mostly from C.Lütters (Loewenmesser). Lütters still produces them exactly like 150 ago, for northsea fishermen, in many places Loewenmesser is synonym for a knife.
Here I show you my new one I bought in a nice little shop right at the harbour, beside an old one with about 100 years.
a little over 3mm carbon steel, palisander handle, steel rivets.
nothing fancy, just a simple, rugged working knife, like it has been using for over 150 years, all over the world.
regards
