Traditional? I guess so...

So I impulse bought this odd little knife this week. The man in brown just brought it to my door. Its called a Boker FiskMuk. I really liked the way it borrowed from old designs. Obviously the locking blade is all Nessmuk, about as traditional a blade design as it gets. Handles are some real chubby stag. The slabs are a bit lopsided as you can see from the photo but I think it lends to the whole curvy design. The 440C blade came with a real nice edge out of the box, but I'll strop it to get it right where I want it.
Most folding Nessmuks I have seen have been fairly large, even beastly big.
The in-hand photo shows that its a real pocketable size being 3 3/4" closed. Blade is 2 7/8".
Anyway, I though it was cool.
Hate it or like it?
It's all good...

I like it !

It reminds me of the Grohmann folding Canadian belt knife I bought a few years back.

Very interesting knife you have there. I like it. The palm swell looks like it's on the wrong side for a right-handed person though.

Great observation! Except that I am left-handed, so it works out for me. :D
Actually, it feels ergonomically correct in either hand I think...

That's a cute little booger. I like it! :cool::thumbup:

How cool is that!

Niiiiicccee!

I used to EDC a nessmuk(one of mine from my making days) and when i transitioned to folders, I always wanted a foldin' nessie.. first folder I ever made was one, but it didn't work out. Definetally got to get me one of these, fill in that want that I'd forgotten!

Edit to add; Just wnt looking for a dealer for it, and found the reason for the other half of its name; its designed by custom maker Jerry Fisk. Sweet.

I've been looking at it for the last couple of days and the idea is starting to appeal to me. It looks like it would be a really nice general purpose knife.

I also like her as well!. You don't see this little unique Nessie design in a folder every day..

Don't know what you gave for it, but if it is one of Gerry Fisk's custom knives they tend to get quite pricey. If you're not sure and you want to get more info I suggest you have it looked at over in Bernard Levine's Identification sub-forum here to confirm this possibility.

Very  either way.

ADD TO EDIT:

FYI, I now have it on expert authority that this knife was produced by Boker utilizing the custom maker Gerry Fisk's original design.

Not too spendy, $40 clams for the FiskMuk in stag. They offer a white bone handled one for $30. I'm pretty happy with the quality for that price.

Cool knife. I saw that on one of the knife sites this week and was thinking of getting it but can't remember where I saw it.

I really like the blade shape.

So much, I ordered one.
