Other than the Levines 4th guide, what are some books about traditional knives that I should keep an eye out for. I have been the recipient of some wonderful reading material from good friends here, and I have passed on some knife books to fellow knuts. Looking through the books available on the Knife World website, I am flat out perplexed. I am a sucker for a Remington, and while I only own two barlows and a serpentine jack from the old factory, and a few of the Camillus reproductions, I would like to increase my collection. If I can find a reading copy of the Remington book, I'll go for that. Books about Case, GEC etc are on my shelves, well, when I haven't loaned them out to knife nuts.

Gentleman Taschenmesser by Schmalhaus (hmmm its in German tho... but all of his beautiful youtube vids are auf Englisch ;))

"The Knifemakers Who Went West" by Harvey Platts is a good one. Harvey was from Western Cutlery in Boulder Colorado and is the great grandson of W.R. Case and Charles Platts.
