Let's see some traditional knives with ratchets.
I'll start this off with a couple of very comfortable handles.

And my grandfather's preferred knife and 1/4" ratchet.
In fact this was his only pocket knife and his only 1/4 drive ratchet.

Here are two American icons.

I think this is the longest continually produced ratchet in American history, you can actually swap the pawls + anvl between a 1930's PLOMB 5249 and a brand new PROTO 5249 which is amazing.
The early PLOMBs looked a bit different but the design and internals have not changed in almost 100 years.

A couple more American icons, this time a Buck 119 and a 1/2" RHFT aka " round head fine tooth ". Originally produced by MDF / Easco for Sears Craftsman starting in the mid - late 60's, this was one made by the Apex group for Allen a few years ago. ( fyi the RHFT was the longest continously produced Craftsman ratchet designed )

In the top pic, what brand is that flex wrench/socket?

I have a set with open end wrenches on the end but have not seen one with a normal handle.

A tiny, well made, very useful one.

Dan.

Oh sorry, that's just a Wright Contour grip flex handle with a socket on it not a saltus wrench.
