I've been looking for one around and either there isn't many of them or Im not looking from the right places.

Im looking for something very small, maybe around 5" or less, preferrably not much more. The look I would prefer is something that would match with traditional american pattern slipjoints (or looks distantly like them). Perhaps some sort of Loveless design? Whatever the knife would be, it should ride inside my pocket. No clip, no beltloops prefferred in the sheath.

Artificial materials (such as micarta) aren't ruled out as long as it doesn't come with any tacticality or blade coatings. Especially coating is no no.

Budget: I would preferrably keep it under $200 and less is better... but that depends how nice it is ofcourse. :D

Impossible hunt?

Barkies are first that came into my mind, but I would like to know if there are any more options.

Yep look at the makers area. First one comes to mind is a Tom Krein pocket bowie. Very traditional looking but a bit more expensive than what you are looking for. keepem sharp

Try looking for "patch knives". There are several of them out there, made for the buckskinner market, and as traditional as it gets, usually with horn handles and often with damascus blades, If you find one you like, you can have a pocket sheath made for it by JRE or one of the other custom makers. Something similar to the hip pocket sheath used by AG Russell with the Woodswalker would work well.

Great, thanks.
Keep the suggestions coming if you have any ideas!

The Case Desk Knife is about as traditional as you can find.

It was suggested to me in a recent thread, and I'd never seen it before.

The pearl can be found for under $200, the others with bone are less than $100, more like $60-80.

You might have to remove the belt loop, though, I think it might just be a flat sheath. You could always get the A. G. Russell Woodswalker (~$20), and slip the Case into the leather sheath it comes with.

Don Cowles is offering a small fixed blade with a definite Loveless-style influence for just $100. Just search for his Production Knives on his site:http://www.cowlesknives.com/DC_Mainframe.htm

He'd probably have no problem substituting a sheath without the clip.

Sounds like you and I are looking for the same thing, at this point.

Good luck!

What about the benchmade Activator 210, Snody design. Not tactical looking at all and I love it pocketed in my KSF Sheath

Bob

The benchmade is not quite my thing, but those KSF sheaths looks so darn handy. They would sit well too..
