Traditional makers in Canada

I'm relatively new to this sub-forum, I've been lurking around for a bit though;) ! I'm looking to make the jump to folders sometime in the near future and would like to get in contact with a mentor who makes traditional slip and lockback folders. I know a couple people who are making liner locks, but I'd rather learn something that seems to be less and less common (sadly). Are there any reputable makers in Canada that the members here know of? I just figured you folks would be the guys to ask, if I'm wrong one of the mods can feel free to move this thread to wherever they see fit.

Have a good one,
Nathan

We need to keep this right here :D.

How else are we going to find out ;).

And welcome to our corner of the universe...

If you look in the gallery on Mr. Lyttle's website, it says that he is no longer making lockbacks (I don't think he's ever made slipjoints). He's only going to make liner locks now. I had originally thought of asking him, it would have been nice as he's in the same province as me. Thanks a lot for giving a suggestion though.

Have you asked in the Canadian section, Makers section? Normark comes to mind as someone you could ask, a lot of US makers use him for sheaths, it would stand to reason that he would know some Canadian makers.

Oops, my bad. It's been awhile since I read his website!

That's a really good idea, I'll have to start a thread in the Canadian Connection as well. Thanks,

Nathan
