Traditional (old) knife inquiry... possibly a GAW

I've found this knife among other things that belonged to my great-grandfather- presumably, he must've bought whilst living in USA or Canada (which would be roughly in '30-ies or '40-ies)... It looks like fruit-grower's knife (would welcome correction and a bit of info on the 'pattern') and I'm sure it's not worth much, especially in present condition (needs a bit of TLC)- it hasn't received much attention in PIF threads.

Anyways, if anyone likes it/thinks they'd give it a good home, I'd be willing to send it their way.

P.S. I would have thought it to be a no brand knife, but it seems to have a maker's stamp in shape of a triangle on the tang.

If you give your great grandfathers knife away you may regret it later.

He may. He might also appreciate giving it a home where it would be better taken care of. I myself am starting to wish I didn't have as many material possessions as I do.

Nice old knife, would love to see some more pics if possible.

Same here, and I've gotten rid of many of my possessions over the past few years, and have about 100 less knives than I did then.
But I could never get rid of a knife left down to me by a family member.

I think that's a budding knife, used for, well budding. Lol. Like grafting, but more specific. Which makes sense given your idea that it is a fruit grower's knife.

But, I'd keep your family's knife. Not worth much monetarily, but sentimentally? Only you can decide.

And it should be a cinch to clean up
