The balisong.
I wonder if any here would consider this a traditional knife.
Given that that the puukko is sort of the national/traditional knife of Finland, would the balisong also qualify as the national/traditional knife of the Phillipines?

Jus' wonderin'.

The balisong may be considered traditional in the Philippines but for the purposes of discussion in this forum it would not be.

Fortunately, we have a forum dedicated to balisongs here.

(While there may be some traditional balisongs that might be of interest, Gus and I would be hard pressed to filter out numerous threads on such knives and move them to the proper discussion forums and it's not a task we need or want to take on.)
