This is a really nice vintage Shrade/Cutco Hawkbill.
It's obviously been well used and loved.
It weighs in at 7.5" open, 4.5" closed, so it's a big fella.
I sharpened it up and cleaned the wood scales so it looks quite presentable now.
In the light, the wood has some nice grain.
It also has a half stop.
Anyway, the only rules for this giveaway is to post a pic of your favorite single blade traditional if you have one.
Also, if you know anything about this knife, let me know.
I was surprised to see Shrade and Cutco on the same knife.
I'll choose the winner next Sat morn at random based on your post #.

Lenny, thank you for the great opportunity, that's a grand ole knife. I don't carry many "Single" blade knives very often but when I do I really enjoy this "REDNECK" Bullnose by GEC :thumbup:

I love this knife... It may have rough fit and finish, and it may rust extremely easily on the bolsters, backsprings and blades... But I don't mind. It's just a great knife to carry and knife.

This Hartkopf Damascus is one of my favorite knives... it´s built like a tank and with its blade geometry it cuts like a razor.



... not a slippie though, but a very classy design :)
 
This is my current favorite single blade traditional. It is a No. 15 Boy's knife in nifebrite acrylic by GEC. I also have a single blade Barlow (Charlow) that's just as good, but I use this one more because it is one of my designated users and I like it a lot.

This weeks favorite. Actually I tend to go back and forth between this one, a clip 15 GEC and my sheepsfoot Charlow.
That is a sweet knife you're offering. Sorry I have no info on it to share. Thanks for the chance.

On a sad note, I dropped this knife on the asphalt today and cracked the bone and dinged it all up. I am pretty bummed!
 
My fave single blade folder...but only by a hair!!!...oh and the cartridge is .500 Linebaugh. Thanks for the chance!

OK, Chris graciously asked me to give the knife to somebody else as he recently bought a very similar one.
