This is a scabbard Terry Cisco made for a khukuri that John Powell picked up somewhere.
Terry started from scratch, fashioned the wood portion of the scabbard to fit the blade and then covered it with leather as shown.

I have not seen this scabbard "in person" but it looks pretty decent in this picture and John Powell was pleased with it.

So, if anybody needs a custom traditional scabbard you can check with Terry at the address below. His prices are reasonable I hear and he gets the job done in good time.

Yvsa, I've talked with him on the phone several times and he is a very nice guy. He works in a machine shop, too, so you will have common ground. He knows about you because I told him and he said he has buddies down around Catoosa. You might already know him!

He's bought several HI khukuris and loves them -- probably because of shop experience. Recently bought a villager for his daughter and she thanked me personally for sending her a good one! Good guy, good wife, and good kids. Drop him a line. You two would have a lot to talk about. He wants to see the 20 inch Sirupati you brought back to "ten lifetimes" of use.

Thanks for posting that Bill.
I have 3 more pieces coming from Terry and I am very confident they will be as well made and nicely done as the picture shows.
He is a real gentleman and an old world craftsman.
A real pleasure to do business with.

I have Terry's phone number somewhere but I think it may have gotten mixed in with the 10,000 pix file.

Yvsa, Terry called and left his phone number which I've posted. He wants to get together with you but I didn't have your phone number.
The pix have not arrived but I have not been to pick up today's mail

OK, Yvsa. I have a nice feeling that you two will find much in common and have plenty to talk about. He has no computer so cannot post but he is one of us.

Uncle Bill

Pakcik Bill - What's wrong with the pix - It's not pix of Terry's scabbard but pic of Yvsa's resurrected 20" Sirupti's handle!!!

I'll get the pix fixed right now. I use AOL press and for some reason it gets mixed up or else I do. I'm on my way now.
