I am in need of suggestions for a sheath knife. Nothing big, i dont really have a need for a ''big'' knife. I mainly just want something to pair with my case peanut. I am a broke college student so somewhere around the $50 range if possible.

I was really considering getting the Case M3 Finn sheath knife, i like the look of it, the fact that its made in the usa and comes with a leather sheath. Any opinions on this knife? I couldnt find many reviews of it.

Thanks, JDC

Look at vintage knives. Lots of people selling them for cheap, when all they need is some DW-40, leather conditioner(for sheath and maybe the stacked leather handle if it has one) some sand paper, and mothers mag and aluminum polish. Those got some of the best steel, and will hold an edge and slice better then most modern knives today, at a fraction of the cost many times.

+1 for the Mora, I think they offer great bang for your buck. Also keep your eye on the exchange here there are lots of great knives that pop up for nice prices.

I would recommend the M3 finn. I have been using it for nine months everyday. I just recently used it to skin a bull elk. The only thing I didn't like was the sheath that it came with it so I just made my own.

A Puukko. Marttiini in carbon from Finland, not big not heavy, not expensive.
