Traditional Shields

Some of you love them, and some of you hate them. If you are the latter, feel free to give this a miss as it won't interest you.

I was looking at Waynorth's diamond shield and had a spark of inspiration. I won't explain right now because it might be a complete flop but I have a request of the traditional crowd:

Could you please post pictures of your wonderful shields? Old, new, pinned or glued, it doesn't matter to me. Any help, would be appreciated.

I don't know anyone that hates shields. You might want to take a look at this thread. It's full of shields and discusses many aspects of traditional knives.

Because of the age of the thread no one should reply to it - I'm just posting it for reference.

My pleasure! I was looking for the thread I remembered, that turned out to be "Favorite Shield." I'd never seen Charlie's thread before myself. What a treasure! I hesitate to add to that one, so am still simply gazing in wonder.

(I didn't even know they had the internets back in 2006! )

All you've got to do is close it Paul. Good idea for a thread but it looks like you've got tire tracks on your back from being run over by all the searched threads.
