This is a bit different, but seems to fit here best I guess. The Swedish "Sloyd" style carving has been around a long time. It advocates using a 1.75 to 3.00 inch traditional blade but really comes from a work ethic, or training pattern.

I'm a pupil at best, but wanted to share some work, and traditional carving knives.

Seemed to fit the traditional pattern of knives. Carving spoons, forks, and spatulas has been great fun over the last 9-10 months of learning. If anyone is interested, all the above are great knives.

Enjoy......

Great post and very folksy. You're doing very nice work. When you get brave, do a search for "love spoons" and try your hand at those. :D

Thanks for the compliments Guys.

It's a great hobby. After supper my Daughters and I go out to the shop. I throw some wood, sandpaper, and glue at them and they are busy for hours. Great way to finish out the evening. :)

Those take work, let me tell you. I'm not much of a carver, but I'm making one for my wife for our anniversary. I mean, I know how they do some of that stuff, but jeez.

Those look really awesome, Tarmix. I think I have to get one of those bent knives, now.
