Figured I would throw up some pics of my Weidmannsheil. It measures 4in closed with a 3.25in stainless spear blade.
The blade snaps open firmly with the assistance of a back spring when the lever is depressed.
The springer is a traditional German lever-lock knife, this design didn't really seem to catch on outside of German makers. However, it was adopted by Case, and Ka-bar in some hotly sought after knives.
You all probably know more than I do about it, but here it is... (if I figured out the attachments right)
