I like the Sunday picture show they do over in the Buck forum, participate when I can, but I only have a couple Bucks. However, I'm gaining more and more "traditionals, and because the Sunday show in the Buck forum is such a hit, I was wondereing why we don't have one here? Seems to me we would get quite the variety of makes and models, and I'm sure there would be no shortage of pictures. Is there a reason we couldn't do it? This is by far my favorite forum here on Bladeforums, and think it would be a great thing to do. Thoughts? Tomorrow, by the way... is Sunday... ;) Mark.

If you would do some searching in this forum Mark, I think you would find it is not short on pictures of traditional knives. And it don't have to be on Sunday. The OLD KNIVES thread is incredible. Unfortunately many of the best picture threads in this forum are buried because they are not a "sticky" and the fact this is a fast moving forum. Someone drags them out every now and then. The Elusive Schrade thread, the Barlow Thread, and I believe there are some fantastic Stockman and Cattle Knife threads. Anyone have links to show tomorrow for Mark?

Thawk, oh no, your very right, it is not short on pictures at all, I just like the one day a week thing where people really come out with an exceptional picture, or that rare or obscure knife, or a picture that tells a good story all by itself, and it's one after the other all day long in one thread. Eyecandy overload once a week, on a day that most everyone is usually home to participate. So yes, the more I think about it, tomorrow morning I think I will start a Sunday traditional picture show and see what happens. So get your favorite pictures ready! Mark.

Everyone likes pictures for sure. If it is a Sunday thing, the thread might stay above water too. Trey, its an Ulster peanut, 2 3/4" with a sabre grind on the mark side, flat ground on the back.

I like the Sunday thread in the Buck S/F. Probably wouldn't be anything wrong with a new thread, but we already have the "What Tradional are you carring today?" thread.

Pictures are always good...

Naturally, I like the Buck Forum Sunday Picture Show. I am strained a little to show a 'new' knife all the time. One aspect of that is a photo of a knife in a outdoor setting, or a in-use setting or in some other attractive, interesting location. An example would be say a nice Barlow on rock at the edge of a stream. But, the knife needs to be the main focus. You would not want a small folder laying on the seat of you motor bike unless it is decently close. Small child is OK or as is dog. But if you guys start this it has to be policed to make the knife traditional and decently close so as to allow everyone a good look. No photos such as , here is me holding a Carl Peanut on the 2000 sq ft deck I built. The Peanut would need to be on only a piece of the deck rail.....

That is my opinion anyway......300

300 has it, it's more about that special knife in a picture you would like on your wall. Lets see what happens tomorrow and go from there. :)
