A day to carry the Traditional oldies ๐Ÿ‘
Some nice oldies, Steve!! This older Scout/Camp is in my pocket today, along with Boiley the Barlow!! Marked A (crown) F, Goins says it was made in Germany between 1887 and 1942 - likely prewar (old style can opener), as these were probably distributed from their New York location!!
Nice Grooved and Jigged bone handles, and wonderful mechanicals, despite its flawed? pin on the pile side, it is a great knife!!!A Field scout 1.jpgA Field scout 2.jpgA Field scout 3.jpgA Field scout 4.jpg
It looks like the bolster was mis-drilled, and "filled" to save scrapping precious metal!!
The handle pins are hammered, and pocket-polished!! The knife is a hair over 3 1/2", slightly shorter than the average Scout knife!! A patinaed, low-mileage oldie!!

Nice one Charlie, love the jigging and interesting about the pin ! ๐Ÿ‘
Wilhelm II, anglicised as William II, was the last German Emperor and King of Prussia, reigning from 15 June 1888 until his abdication on 9 November 1918.A Field scout 4.jpg
I wonder if the crown on the tang stamp had anything to do with
Wilhelm II ??? The Knife could have been made during his Reign, easily!!
